I love Santa pictures! It doesn’t matter if the child is happy or crying. There is just something about Santa pictures that I absolutely LOVE. The little ones with their lists full of hopes and dreams. The shy ones who really want to hug him but just can’t bring themselves to do so. The ones that are just so scared and scream. All of them are just adorable. This is why when my friends at Northshore Parent asked me to photograph their Holiday Tea with Santa in 2016, I said yes.
It was a great day and the perfect Southern Christmas celebration at the Maison Lafitte in late November 2016. There was tea, hot chocolate, juice, cupcakes, cookies, and other goodies. Mrs. Claus was there to greet the guest and welcome them into her home for the day. She read The Cajun Night Before Christmas as we all waited with bated breath for Santa to arrive. Wouldn’t you know, as soon as she finished reading, there was a knock on the door, and it was SANTA himself. He made his way through the dining room, saying hello to the children, and then went outside, where he met with each and every one of them. He even brought them a little gift from Little Boy Luke to take him with them.
To keep the children busy while they waited, there were coloring sheets and a photo booth from Let’s Party NOLA. To keep mom busy, there was a Christmas market filled with wonderful goodies from Little Boy Luke, Bon Temps, Natural NOLAS Bath and Body, and more. It was a great day, and I know all the guests had a wonderful time. I know I did. Thank you to Northshore Parent for including me in your event. It was an honor!
